Many have misconception that – Is Islam synonymous with terrorism? Before answering this question, let’s see the reasons and circumstances that lead the people to get a wrong idea.

In most of the bomb blasts accused are/were identified Muslims

Simple common sense is needed to understand this question. This is nothing but a stereotyping or a hasty generalization done by people. One must be aware that only Islam is the religion which guarantees the existences of Jesus (peace be upon him) and millions are fallowing this. If you think that Islam is preaching to kill innocent people, and then just imagine can any other religion exist? We all knew to what extent media can go for TRPs. Just based on a simple statement how come you blame total religion.

World is got Islam completely opposite of what its preaching are, In Quran it written that (in brief)”If the person kills any person is like that he/she killed whole mankind and if the person saved any person then is like that he/she saved all human kind”.  Here the person is not only Muslim any person. Now tell me which religion says these?

Coming to the point that many terrorist are Muslims, it is painful to say that many Islamic and non-Islamic leaders are misleading the Muslim youth for their political benefit, and blanket their actual intentions with the name “Jihad”, which in Islam means fighting against bad to protect good. One must notice all these aspects before coming to decision about Islam.

Islam oppresses women

Another misconception about Islam is that it oppresses women, nowhere in Islamic scriptures it is directly said that woman is less than man. In Islam women are ordered to cover their body and face in front of other men (and also other than certain family members).

Before getting deep into this topic I would like to point out that not only Islam but even Christianity fallows same path in this matter. Did anyone who is reading this article ever saw a Christian nun not covering their body? Why won`t you say then that Christianity oppress women. (I got this verse from a website.)  According to the first book of Timothy, women are told to adorn themselves in modest clothing – “…that women adorn themselves in modest apparel…” (1 Timothy 2:9). Similarly in Jewish traditions is practiced.

What is the need to wear Hijab?

Wearing Hijab protect women`s dignity, modesty. Hijab makes men to feel that woman is a person not an object. I need not write about women status in the world without Hijab. How woman is treated, in Islam women is respected so she is not ordered to go out and work she is have to sit in the home. Women are like diamonds,  they are not so priceless that they roam around for money. Islam says earning money is man`s responsibility.

Concluding this article, Islam tends to bring light and knowledge to one`s life. I believe that no religion orders its followers to go and kill. Before deciding about what is Islam? Just go through what Islam is teaching.
